The core of my work revolves around video and stop motion animation, and primarily the fabrication side of that second discipline. I focus on puppet making, and like to combine different techniques and fields, encompassing mold making, soldering and armature machining, casting, sculpting and costume making, each puppet calling for different techniques, visuals, and a different purpose. Though in creating characters, I strive for high end, durable and conveniently animatable characters, with materials such as silicone, resin and ball and socket armatures, I also use more unconventional materials and collect found objects of all sorts to incorporate in my puppets and sets, with a particular interest in small taxidermy pieces (crab claws, insects, bones, etc…), always ethically sourced.

I take inspiration in those found objects that catch my interest, drawing from folklore, snippets of history, fairy tales, fantasy tropes, and from the visuals of certain insects and plants, while also having a strong interest in the more recent innovations in puppet making.
